Antique hand-hewn frame
(Summer Beam Frame System #3) This complete ceiling frame system, including summer beam, joists and bents, was gently removed from the oldest house in Hancock, NH, circa 18th century. It is made of Northern Hard Pine (aka Red pine) and has an incredible patina and the large beams are hand-hewn. It would fit a room approx. 14' long x 15'wide with the joists going in the 15' direction. The summer beam is a 12" wide x 9" tall, one bent is 9" wide x 13" tall and the other is 8" wide x 11" tall. The summer beam locks into the bents with a large tennon and a large dove tail. Includes 4 extra joists.
