Jail bunk, chestnut plank: This is a solid piece of chestnut that
was a bed for the old Taunton, MA jail. It is 4" thick x 23" wide x 7.5' long.
This is the longest, widest and thickest piece of chestnut that I've ever
come across. It's hand planed with scars and marks from its unique history.
This could be the centerpiece for a bar top, wine cellar tasting table or
a large coffee table. Please only contact me if your plan is to use this piece
as a whole - I won't sell it if it is going to be sliced up. It weighs approx.
225 lbs.
