Summer Beam

First Period Summer Beam c.1682: This summer beam was removed from a first period house in Wabam, MA, recently during 'modernizing' renovations. Fortunately it was carefully removed and is in great condition, other than missing its tennons. It has all the markers for the period, including Tusk tennons, a bevel with lambs tongue with no bark edge and scribe marks.

It is 11" wide x 9&1/2" deep x 14'1" long. It has 8 sets of tusk tennons that are ~2&3/4" wide x ~4" from the top x 3" deep and are 20" OC. This is a rare find for me. It could be reused or as a museum piece.

Cost: $4,500
