Fireplace Mantel Beams

hand-hewn fireplace mantel beam

We carry many shapes and sizes of antique beams and other salvaged timbers, both hand-hewn and straight-sawn. Example of application shown here: a hand-hewn antique chestnut beam is built into the stone work of this beautiful fireplace.

The antique beams for sale below have been salvaged from houses and barns. Because they are authentic, they will have stress cracks, nails, bug damage, man-made dings/chips, color variations, etc. We offer beams that are in only good to great condition. All the beams should have 3 good surfaces. Sometimes a great beam has one bad surface that can face the wall on which it is mounted. We attempt to show any major defects in the pictures, such as notches. In addition to the inventory shown below, we have many more beams available for exposed beam applications. Please contact us with questions (860-655-5259) or if you are interested in purchasing antique beams.
