About the Old Wood Workshop |
Back in the early days! |
I discovered that antique wood is a beautiful and valuable resource in the early 1990s, when I began to salvage local barns and make furniture from the reclaimed wood as a hobby. Today this passion has grown into an established business in northeastern Connecticut. |
I produce custom furniture and flooring from antique chestnut, oak and pine. I also sell architectural antiques and raw or milled antique wood for your own woodworking, building or remodeling projects. My clientele is diverse and often become repeat customers. They include contractors, architects, homeowners, interior designers, artists and artisans, cabinetmakers, woodworkers, even musical instrument makers--and they all share my respect for the beauty and authenticity of antique wood.

You are welcome to visit my workshop in Pomfret Center, northeastern Connecticut. I am available by chance or appointment (I strongly suggest an appointment). I do not have a traditional retail shop, but our 1730s colonial farmhouse is a Bed & Breakfast. Our substantial renovations have included using my remilled and resawn antique hardwood floors (chestnut, oak and pine). Our guest rooms and common areas feature my Shaker-style furniture, including farm tables, side tables, chests and four-poster beds. Please contact me if you'd like to schedule a visit or discuss a project. |
